I don't have any experience with the Power4All batteries, but I recommend using a minimum 5ah battery for 15-20 minutes run time. 2ah battery will work but the run time will be short.

Does this work with a GCM800SJ 240v mitre saw?

It's an independent tool without an auto start function or mains option. It can clip in and suck the waste, but you will have to manually turn it on before you start sawing.

Does it suck up water well and does the wet mode have a decent running time?

This is designed for sucking up debris and sludge from the bottom of a cold water tank. The running time will depend on power settings, amount being sucked up, and nozzle used.
