Is the Primary E turntable easy to set up?

Yes, it comes pre-configured and ready to play straight out of the box.

What type of cartridge is included with the Primary E?

It includes a pre-mounted Ortofon OM cartridge for optimal performance.

What is the advantage of the direct-to-mains motor?

It reduces the need for internal processing and enhances sound quality.

I have an old pioneer amplifier would it be ok to plug into that?

It depends if the amplifier has an input labelled 'Phono'. If not, you will need to buy a separate phono stage.

How do you set this up?

Put the drive belt on, then plug it in. Connect to a system by plugging RCA cables into a phono stage, then connect the phono stage to amplifier/speakers.

I plugged turn table into denon rcd m40 and have to turn volume up to full to hear it. Is there a solution?

You probably need a turntable pre amp.

What do I need to connect a turntable to a Pro-Ject speaker box 5 and a Pro-Ject audio systems record box e?

You will need an amplifier. Consider buying the Pro-Ject Jukebox bundle which includes an amp.

Do I need an amp with phono input or speakers with a pre-amp? Do I need speakers if I buy an amp with phono input?

Yes, you will need an amp with phono input, or you could use a separate phono stage before sending the signal to an amplifier or a pair of active speakers.

Can I connect a turntable through my Sonos system using your BT turntable and a Sonos move or roam?

No, unfortunately, the Primary E does not have Bluetooth capability. You can use a wired connection with a turntable with a built-in phono preamp.

What do we connect the turntable to create sound?

Connect the turntable to an amplifier which will send the sound to your speakers.

Does the belt stay in place?

The belt stays on, but changing the speed to 45RPM requires moving the belt onto a different pulley, which can be tricky.

Does this turntable come with a genuine Ortofon cartridge?

Yes, it is an Ortofon cartridge, but it may not have any markings to indicate it as such.

My turntable came without any markings on the stylus. Have I been ripped off?

The cartridge supplied with the Project Primary E may not have the Ortofon name marked on the stylus for unknown reasons.
