svar: I have tried it on our dog, in her groin (less hair!) and it seemed fairly accurate. -

Why is the temperature reading in Celsius nearly a whole degree lower than my other thermometers?
svar: There will always be a slight difference between different thermometers. It is recommended to only take your readings with one thermometer to ensure consistency. Forehead readings can be affected by room temperature, distance held from the forehead, etc. It's a good idea to familiarize yourself with using the thermometer in the same way every time for accurate results.
