Why should I replace my struts?

Replacing worn struts is crucial for maintaining vehicle safety and performance. Old struts can lead to a harsh ride, poor handling, and increased braking distances. By installing new strut assemblies, like the COMPLETESTRUTS, you enhance the overall stability and comfort of your Mitsubishi Eclipse, especially when driving on uneven surfaces or during sharp turns. Regular strut replacement is vital to ensure the suspension system works efficiently and helps protect other components of your vehicle.

How do I know if my struts need replacement?

Signs that your struts may need replacement include excessive bouncing after hitting bumps, a nose-diving effect when braking, uneven tire wear, and a general decrease in ride comfort. If your Mitsubishi Eclipse feels unstable or if the handling seems off, it's wise to inspect them. If you're unsure, having a professional mechanic evaluate your suspension can provide clarity. Addressing strut issues promptly prevents further vehicle damage and enhances performance.

Can I install these struts myself?

Yes, you can install COMPLETESTRUTS Front Quick Complete Strut Assemblies yourself if you have some mechanical knowledge and basic tools. The pre-assembled design eliminates the need for spring compression tools. However, ensure you follow the manufacturer's installation guidelines and take the necessary safety precautions. If you’re unfamiliar with suspension work, consulting a professional mechanic is a sensible approach. This can help avoid potential issues during the installation process.

How do COMPLETESTRUTS struts compare to OEM parts?

COMPLETESTRUTS struts offer a similar level of performance to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts, often at a more competitive price. They are designed to meet or exceed the specifications of the original struts for the Mitsubishi Eclipse. Choosing COMPLETESTRUTS means you're opting for an efficient balance of quality and affordability, which is beneficial for vehicle owners looking to restore their cars without breaking the bank.

What tools do I need to install these struts?

To install COMPLETESTRUTS Front Quick Complete Strut Assemblies, you will need basic hand tools, including a socket set, wrenches, and possibly a torque wrench for proper tightening. Additionally, a jack and jack stands are essential for safely lifting and securing your vehicle. If you plan to work on the suspension, other tools like a breaker bar can help loosen stubborn bolts. Ensuring you have the right tools makes the installation smoother and more efficient.

What is included in a set of COMPLETESTRUTS?

A set of COMPLETESTRUTS Front Quick Complete Strut Assemblies includes two complete strut assemblies, which come pre-assembled with coil springs. This set is designed for the front of your Mitsubishi Eclipse, ensuring you have both sides covered for balanced performance. By replacing both struts at the same time, you help maintain even handling and comfort. This also minimizes the chance of premature wear on new components due to mismatched dynamics.

What is the benefit of using complete strut assemblies versus just struts?

Using complete strut assemblies, like the COMPLETESTRUTS offerings, saves significant time and complexity during installation. Unlike traditional strut replacements that require separate components like coils and mounts, these assemblies come fully assembled, reducing the need for specialized tools and expertise. This convenience is particularly advantageous for those who prefer a time-efficient solution without compromising safety and performance in their Mitsubishi Eclipse's suspension.

Are COMPLETESTRUTS compatible with other vehicles?

COMPLETESTRUTS Front Quick Complete Strut Assemblies are specifically designed for the 2000-2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse models. They may not be compatible with other vehicles without modification. It's essential to check the vehicle specifications and model year before purchasing to ensure a perfect fit. If you own a different make or model, exploring similar COMPLETESTRUTS offerings designed for those vehicles can provide a reliable replacement option.
