However, the compass's declination adjustment is difficult to set and not very accurate, and it has a stick-on label type declination decal on the bottom of the compass bezel that might come off in the field. Some customers also have reported issues with the aforementioned declination adjustment and defective products. While some like the compass's sturdy build and mirror, others find its baseplate too large. Overall, the Brunton TruArc 5 compass provides value for its price tag.
