The book is packed with essential design methods and techniques necessary for successful execution of projects from the initial phase to the final draft. However, the book has some minor issues; the book does not contain chapters on structural dynamics and structural stability, which are fundamental topics that should have been given prominent attention. Moreover, some figures were scanned and poorly reproduced from the previous edition, making it difficult to read the book figures. Furthermore, some sections and chapters of the previous edition were merely reproduced without updating and following the updated codes and specifications, which might refer to outdated materials. Despite its shortcomings, the Structural Engineering Handbook continues to be a perfect guide for design methods for structural engineers. Therefore, while using the book, users must handle it with care, use judgment and updated guidelines and codes.
