The box is slightly tapered, but its dimensions are almost 15" x 15" at the bottom of the box. It comes with holes in the lid to allow litter to fall back through into the box, a small hook to hang the litter scoop on and is large enough to avoid the need for a liner. The lid also has a curved lip, which creates a 10" wide top opening that is easy for even a tiny kitten to get in and out of. This box provides enough space for an average-sized 9-month-old cat weighing around 8-9 pounds. The box does not have a reusable litter liner and fits Petmate boxes only.
