Action & Adventure Editorial Review
Ben-Hur is a classic film that has stood the test of time. The story of Judah Ben Hur is a moving tale, and the film does an excellent job of portraying his life and hardships. The chariot race alone is thrilling and breathtaking, and the film's compelling story is one that should be experienced by all. Although some may fear that future versions may be censored, this original uncut version is available for viewing on Prime, making it accessible to all who wish to see it. Charlton Heston gives an excellent performance as the lead, and the rest of the cast is also noteworthy. In today's world where CGI reigns supreme, it is refreshing to see a movie that relies on practical effects and grand set pieces. The film is a reminder of the power of storytelling and how it can captivate an audience.
