Aqualung Digital Gauges Editorial Review

The Aqua Lung i550C dive computer has garnered a mixed reception among divers who have experienced its capabilities firsthand. Many users appreciate the device's compact design and readability, highlighting its large, clear digits and user-friendly interface. The built-in alarms have been praised for their reliability, contributing positively to the overall diving experience. The Bluetooth feature is particularly well-received, allowing divers to seamlessly connect the device to their mobile phones for easy dive logging and data tracking. However, the i550C is not without its flaws. A recurrent issue that users have reported is the vulnerability of the battery cover, which can crack and lead to complications during battery replacement. This design flaw has left some customers frustrated, particularly when faced with limited customer service options from Aqua Lung. The fact that they had to resort to drastic measures like drilling or smashing off the battery cover to continue using the product has tarnished the ownership experience for some. Despite these concerns, many still feel that the device is worth purchasing, as evidenced by those who recommend it based on their positive experiences, enough to buy additional units. In summary, while the Aqua Lung i550C dive computer stands out for its user-friendly features and reliable performance, significant concerns about the battery cover design and customer service options have left some users feeling let down. **
