The Big Nerd Ranch Guide to Android Programming has received overwhelmingly positive reviews from customers, who praise its clear and easy-to-follow lessons. The book has been described as well-written and organised, providing readers with the tools needed to develop real-world apps with great confidence. The book offers six or seven example programs that build upon previous concepts, allowing readers to progress naturally through the content. However, some reviewers have noted that some apps may not work on an emulator despite everything checking out. Overall, the book is a great starting point for learning mobile application development, but having a basic knowledge of Kotlin is recommended.
